Merseyside in the North-West of England is home to Liverpool FC & Everton FC, as well as the most passionate football supporters in the world. Both Teams are steeped in History and have been very successful over the years.

Liverpool FC were runners up in last seasons Pemier League only losing out to Manchester United, Liverpool were crowned Champions of Europe in 2005, when they turned around a 3 goal deficit against AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League Final to make it 3-3 after extra time, the game then proceeded to penalty kicks, where Liverpool triumphed 3-2, unfortunately they were unable to repeat this triumph in the 2007 Champions League Final, again they came up against AC Milan, but this time they were beat 2-1.

Everton FC, last Seasons FA Cup finalists, have also been a success in Europe, not only did they storm to the league title with a record 90 points in 1985, but they were the winners of the European Cup Winners Cup, a thrilling encounter against Rapid Vienna, which they won 3-1. They will be hoping for similar adventures this season having qualified for this years UEFA Cup.
